Due to ill health, Advani could not attend the function held at Rashtrapati Bhavan on Saturday. Therefore, President Draupadi Murmu went to Advani's house and honored him with the country's highest civilian award. 4 other personalities were posthumously honored with Bharat Ratna Award
The President conferred the Bharat Ratna Awards posthumously on 4 personalities at the Rashtrapati Bhavan on Saturday (March 30). In this, former Prime Minister Chaudhary Charan Singh, former Prime Minister P.V. Narasimha Rao, former Bihar Chief Minister Karpuri Thakur and agricultural scientist Dr. including MS Swaminathan. The families of all the four persons received this honor at the Rashtrapati Bhavan. PV Prabhakar Rao, son of Narasimha Rao, Jayant Chaudhary, grandson of Chaudhary Charan Singh, Ram Nath Thakur, son of Karpuri Thakur and Nitya Rao, daughter of MS Swaminathan accepted the award.
