Actress Lara Dutta is in the news these days for her upcoming series 'Strategy: Balakot and Beyond'. In an interview, Lara has reacted to the rumors of playing the role of Kaikeyi in Nitesh Tiwari's 'Ramayana'. Reacting to such news, she said- Like you, I am also hearing this a lot.
I am not paying attention to rumours. Who wouldn't want to be a part of Ramayana? If I had been offered, there are many characters I would have loved to play. She laughingly said- Shurpanakha, Mandodari, I am playing all of them.
Lara was offered two roles in No Entry
While talking to 'Indian Express', she told that she was offered two roles in Anees Bazmee's film 'No Entry', one which was played by Bipasha and one which was played by Lara. Lara said- I chose the role of a suspicious Punjabi wife because that role was completely different from who I am. After doing this character, I got a chance to work with many famous directors. This character has improved me as an actress.
Lara said that this film gave her a chance to step into comic genre films for the first time. Because of this film she was able to realize how good she is at it. This film helped me to change my old image. Because Lara did not want people to recognize her only for her glamorous roles.
Lara Dutta's series 'Strategy: Balakot and Beyond' has been directed by Santosh Singh. Big actors like Lara Dutta, Jimmy Shergill, Prasanna, Ashutosh Rana and Ashish Vidyarthi have been seen in it. Apart from this, Lara Dutta is doing films like 'Welcome to the Jungle', and 'Ramayana'.
