Kylian Mbappé: 'PSG' stamp on French Cup; Mbappe's farewell to the club









Leaders Online Desk: Paris Saint-Germain sealed the French Cup with a 2-1 win over Lyon in their star footballer Mbappe's farewell match. Mbappe could not score a single goal in his last match for PSG. However, his teammates gave him a memorable farewell after the final match in recognition of his incredible seven years with the club. Mbappe made 308 appearances for PSG, scoring a record 256 goals. Mbappe is likely to join Spanish club Real Madrid next season. Ousmane Dembele (22) and Fabian Ruiz (34) scored in the first half for PSG in the final. Jack O'Brien (55) scored the only goal for Lyon.

Leverkusen won the German Cup

Bayer Leverkusen maintained their unbeaten record at home after losing 0-3 to Atalanta in the Europa League final. They defeated Kaiserslautern 1–0 in the German Cup final to win the title. This is Bayer's second title of the season, having won the Bundesliga for the first time a few days ago. Granit Xhaka scored the only goal in the 16th minute for Bayer who played under coach Xabi Alonso. Bayer haven't lost a single match at home this season. He made a total of 53 appearances in all competitions, both domestically and in Europe, with his only defeat coming against Atalanta.

Barcelona's Women are the UEFA Women's Champions

Like the men, Lyon's women also had to suffer defeat by Barcelona in the UEFA Women's Champions League final. Barcelona defeated Lyon 2-0 to win the Champions League for the third time in the last four seasons. Aitana Bonamati, regarded as the best female footballer in the world, scored for Barcelona in the second half. Alexia Putelas scored the second goal for Barcelona in the extra tie.
