Randeep Hooda and Ileana D'Cruz starrer film 'Tera Kya Hoga Lovely' has been released in theaters today. The story of this film directed by Balwinder Singh Janjua is based on color discrimination and dowry system. The writer of the film is Kunal Mandekar and co-writer is Anil Rudhan. Kunal Mandekar and Anil Rudhan had a special conversation with Dainik Bhaskar about the story of the film.
Kunal Mandekar told during the conversation that color discrimination has been going on in our society for years. This is a big issue which we want to bring before the society through the film. Apart from apartheid, the film also shows the evil practice like dowry. He also told that as a writer he also wants to work with Shahrukh Khan.
Regarding the concept of the film, Kunal said- I had seen this kind of environment around me since the beginning. Even today, apartheid in the society is less at some places and more at other places. Girls have to suffer the most in matters of colorism and marriage. Keeping this in mind, he has written this story about a girl who has to endure a lot because of her dark complexion.
Kunal told- I had already got the idea of the story. I narrated the story to the film's co-writer Anil Rudhan. After this we both worked together on it. Anil Rudhan said that giving and taking dowry has become very common in our society. Those who cannot give dowry are forced to give dowry. Because it has been made like a custom.
Explaining the purpose of this story, Kunal Mandekar said – The purpose of this story is to make every person realize that only the true color of the heart matters and nothing else. He said- It is important to show both the issues in the society. Because many people are oppressed due to this evil practice. There are many people who are unable to come forward and talk about this.
Anil Rudhan told as an example that the houses where there are two daughters. If one of them is dark and the other is fair, you will find colorism there too. Since childhood, a dark-skinned girl will be made to feel that relationships will be less for her. More dowry will have to be given. He said- Keeping this in mind, we have prepared this story.

Got the art of writing from father- Kunal Mandekar
Kunal told about the initial phase of his career. He said that he is a resident of Nagpur. He inherited the art of writing from his father. He said- My father has been very fond of writing. Initially Kunal used to work in newspaper. The art of thinking and writing was good from the beginning. A person advised him to study media.
From here his career took a different turn. He worked as an editor in the media for many years.

Kunal and Anil told that this was their first story. The director whom he approached after narrating the story for the first time was very impressed with the story. He agreed to make a film on this story. This was the first big success for Kunal and Anil.
Anil Rudhan told that he was fond of writing since childhood. But how to bring it into career? Couldn't understand this. After much thought he took a course in video editing. Kunal and Anil met by chance. The pair, who were fond of writing, prepared a tremendous story.
Talking about OTT and cinema, Kunal said that cinema has changed a lot with the advent of OTT. People who used to go to theaters only to watch big movies. Today he is enjoying movies and web series sitting comfortably in his home. He said- Very good content is being worked on OTT. Many actors, writers and directors have also got work from this. Employment has increased significantly with the advent of OTT.
Anil says that our audience has now become selective. Now we can work on all types of content by understanding their preferences.
Kunal and Anil have debuted in writing with this film. But when he was asked that if you had to work with anyone among Salman Khan, Shahrukh Khan and Aamir Khan, who would it be? Responding to this, Kunal said- I like all three, but if I have to choose one, I want to work with Shahrukh Khan. He said that Shahrukh is a very magical actor. There is a charm inside him, people living around him feel it.

Ileana D'Cruz plays the character of Lovely, who goes through these complex situations. Actors like Randeep Hooda, Ileana D'Cruz and Karan Kundra will be seen in lead roles in this film.
