Actor Kunal Kapoor, who has appeared in films like Rang De Basanti, Aaja Nachle and Luv Shav Te Chicken Khurana, has become a part of the mythological film Ramayana being directed by Nitesh Tiwari. At present, no information related to the actor's character has been revealed, however, if reports are to be believed, the actor has started preparations for the film.
According to a recent Pinkvilla report, Kunal Kapoor has signed the contract for the film. In this film, Ranbir Kapoor is playing the role of Lord Shri Ram, while South actress Sai Pallavi is playing the role of Mata Sita. In the report, quoting a source related to the film, it has been told that Kunal has also done costume trials for his character and he is now rehearsing the script. At present, no information has been revealed about what role the actor will play in the film.
Kunal Kapoor's last released film was Ankahi Kahaniyaan in the year 2021, which was released on Netflix. Apart from this, he was seen in the 2021 film Koi Jaane Na. No Bollywood film of Kunal has been released since 2021. Kunal's Telugu film Vishwambhara is scheduled to release in the year 2025. Apart from this, he also has the film Jewel Thief in his account.
Ramayana film will be made in two parts
The film Ramayan, being directed by Nitesh Tiwari, will be made in two parts. Both the films will be completed in a shooting schedule of 350 days. The shooting of the film with Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi has already started. Their look from the set has also been revealed. The shooting of the film will be completed by December 2025.
Kannada star Yash is also playing the role of Lankeshwar Ravana in the film, while Lara Dutta is playing the role of Shurpanakha in the film. There are also reports that Sunny Deol will play the role of Hanuman in the film. Apart from these, actor Bobby Deol, who was seen in Animal, was offered the role of Kumbhakarna in the film, however, he has rejected the offer.
