A video of singer Kumar Sanu is going viral on social media these days, in which the singer is seen demanding the release of former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan through a song during a concert. However, now Kumar Sanu has clarified that he has not sung any such song, but the video of his concert has been tampered with through AI (Artificial Intelligence).

Kumar Sanu has recently given clarification on the matter through his official Instagram account. He shared a picture of the fake news and wrote, 'I want to make it clear that I have never sung a song for the former Prime Minister of Pakistan. The audio that is circulating on Facebook is not in my voice. It has been created through AI (Artificial Intelligence). Some people are trying to tarnish my image, so I want to tell my fans that this news is a rumour and a lie.'

Legal action will be taken against the creator of Deepfake

Kumar Sanu further wrote in his post, 'This is a serial misuse of technology. I appeal to the Indian government to take action against it, so that the tampering with AI and deepfake technology can be stopped. Stop the spread of misinformation.'

In the viral deepfake video, Kumar Sanu is seen singing a song in which he is talking about getting the jailed former Prime Minister of Pakistan out of jail. However, according to reports, that video is from a concert of Kumar Sanu in Britain. Actually, Kumar Sanu did not say anything related to the former Prime Minister of Pakistan in the concert. The video has been changed through AI, in which the lyrics and lip-syncing have been tampered with.

These celebs have also become victims of deepfake

Recently, Abhishek Bachchan has become a victim of deepfake. In the fake video, Abhishek Bachchan is seen talking about divorce with Aishwarya Rai. Apart from Abhishek, many celebs including Rashmika Mandanna, Kajol, Alia Bhatt have also become victims of deepfake. Rashmika Mandanna complained about the deepfake video to cyber security after it went viral, after which action was taken against the accused.
