Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor made her Bollywood debut with the 2000 film Refugee. However, she had to wait for several hours on the set to give her first shot for the film. Recently, the actress has revealed that she was very scared on the set because the film's director J.P. Dutta left the place without saying anything after seeing her first take.

Recently, during a conversation with Brut, Kareena Kapoor talked about the incident that happened on the sets of her first film Refugee. She said, on the first day of the film, I waited the whole day on the set for my first shot. But the shot was not happening. The shot was to be taken at night, so I waited all night. No one was taking the shot and I was wondering what was happening. It was my first film and I could not understand what was happening. I was just sitting there waiting for a shot.

Kareena further said, then the assistant director came to me at around 3:45 in the night and said that the shot is ready. I told him that it is 3:45 in the morning. He said that this is the intro scene. I did not understand. J.P. Dutta (director of Refugee) sahab has a habit. He never says OK after the shot is done. He just picks up the camera and takes it to another place after the shot is done. This means that the shot is OK.

Kareena told in the conversation that the first shot of the film Refugee was in which she lifts the veil from her head and asks- can I get water. J.P. Dutta explained the shot to her and rolled the camera. Kareena gave the shot and J.P. Dutta left from there without saying anything. Seeing this, Kareena got scared. She thought that this was the first shot of her life and the director did not even say ok. Kareena told that in nervousness she asked the director if the shot was ok, to which she got the answer that it was ok.

Kareena said on this- There was only one take and my whole career was at stake. But J.P. Dutta said that that one shot was good.
