Karan Johar refuses to pay actors more fees: Said- Can an actor guarantee a collection of 120 crores by taking a fee of 40 crores?

The issue of increased fees of the lead actors of the film is in the headlines these days. Meanwhile, there is news that filmmaker Zoya Akhtar has advised Karan Johar to cut the fees of the actors. On this, Karan has said that now he will not pay the desired fees to any actor unless he guarantees that the film will be a hit.

During the round table discussion of The Hollywood Report Media, many filmmakers including Karan Johar and Zoya Akhtar discussed the increased fees of actors. During this, Zoya Akhtar told Karan Johar, Karan, you have to stop giving huge amounts to the stars.

On this Karan Johar said, I don't pay this much fees anymore. Now I fold my hands and say bye bye. I ask him what were your last few films. How much did your films open with? By what right are you asking me for such a high fee. I have just produced a small film Kill. I have invested money in that film because it was a high concept film which had new faces.

When I went to the stars, every star asked me for the same amount of fees as the budget. I told everyone that how can I pay you so much fees, when the budget of the film is Rs 40 crores and you are asking me for Rs 40 crores. Can you guarantee that the film will earn Rs 120 crores. So finally I took new boys and they are outsiders.

Karan also said in the conversation that after the refusal of big stars, he cast newcomer Lakshya Lalwani, who is an outsider, in the film. Karan said, I want to address the fact that I took an outsider in the film, but I did not get any praise for it.
