Comedian Kapil Sharma recently reached the BSF camp in Amritsar in connection with the promotion of his upcoming show The Great Indian Kapil Show Season 2.

Kapil also met the families of the soldiers during this time. The rest of the cast of the show was also present with him, which includes Archana Puran Singh, Krishna Abhishek, Sunil Grover, Rajiv Thakur. The show will stream on the OTT platform Netflix from September 21.

So, if I had not been a comedian, I would have definitely joined the Armed Forces.”

Kapil was born on 2 April 1981 in Amritsar, Punjab. His real name is Shamsher Singh. He made his place in the world of glamour by winning Laughter Challenge 3. He got a prize of 10 lakh rupees for winning Laughter Challenge 3. He got his sister married with this money. Along with Hindi shows, he has worked in Punjabi shows. He has won a total of 9 laughter shows.

Kapil was rejected in the Amritsar audition for Laughter Challenge 3. After this, he went to Delhi and auditioned and was taken on the show.

Gradually, Kapil's name started getting recognized in the world of comedy. His show 'Comedy Nights with Kapil' became a huge hit, after which he never looked back.
