Kannada filmmaker Guruprasad has passed away. Police have recovered his decomposed body in his apartment in Bengaluru. According to reports, Guruprasad had committed suicide a few days ago. He was struggling with financial crisis.
According to Asianet News report, neighbors were smelling a foul smell coming from Guruprasad's house. After this they informed the police. Police reached the spot and found Guruprasad hanging from the ceiling fan. It was revealed that he had committed suicide a few days ago.
According to the information, filmmaker Guruprasad had a lot of debt. Creditors were putting pressure on him. Many cases were also pending against him in the court. His recent film Ranganayaka flopped, due to which he went into depression. Fed up with all this, Guruprasad committed suicide.
Had a second marriage some time ago 52 year old Guruprasad had got married for the second time only a few months ago. On the day of suicide, his pregnant wife had gone to her maternal home.
Apart from being a director, he was also an actor. Guruprasad was born on 2 November 1972 in Bengaluru. He made his directorial debut in 2006 with the film Mata. This film proved to be a hit at the box office. After this he directed the film 'Adelu Manjunath', which was also a hit.
Apart from direction, he also acted in many films. Also worked as a judge in many reality shows. Guruprasad took entry in the second season of Bigg Boss Kannada in 2014 as a wild card contestant. These days he was busy shooting for the film Ademi.
