Actress and MP Kangana Ranaut has given an interview to Dainik Bhaskar. Her film Emergency is releasing on 6 September.

Actress and MP Kangana Ranaut said that if our top leadership was not strong, Punjab would have been turned into Bangladesh during the farmers' movement. Kangana said that in the name of farmers' movement, miscreants were spreading violence in Punjab. Rapes and murders were happening there. The farmers' bill was withdrawn otherwise these miscreants had a very long-term plan. They could have done anything in the country.

Kangana Ranaut has given this statement on the farmers' movement in an interview given to Dainik Bhaskar. After this interview, Punjab Congress leader Raj Kumar said, “Kangana is constantly giving such statements on farmers. An FIR should be filed against her and NSA should be imposed on her.”

BJP MP from Mandi Kangana also talked to Bhaskar about women's safety. On the film industry, Kangana said, “I have always opposed item numbers in the industry. Actresses are objectified in item dances, which is very wrong. On the other hand, it also sends a wrong message to the society.”

Question: What level of reception do you think the film will get in Congress-ruled states?
answer- This film has been made with utmost honesty. There is no question of opposing anyone here. Even Rahul Gandhi will like the film very much. After watching the film, he will praise it inwardly, but no one knows what he will say outside.

Question- Can you see any similarities between you and Indira ji? Is there any one thing about her that you do not find right?
answer- If we forget the chapter on emergency, then one of the special qualities of her personality was that she loved her country very much. She really wanted some changes. Today's leaders are hungry for power, but they do not love their country.

The thing that I find bad about her is that she only wanted to take her own family forward, which according to me is not right.

Question- Whatever happened with Hindus in Bangladesh, common people feel that the industry has maintained silence on it, what would you say?
answer-
Actually these people do not know anything. They are lost in their own thoughts. They sit with their makeup on from the morning, they do not care about what is happening in the country and the world. They think that their work should go on, the country can go to hell. However, they forget that if something happens to the country, they will also suffer the same loss.

If our top leadership had been weak today, a situation like Bangladesh could have happened in India as well. Everyone saw what happened during the farmers' movement here. How violence was spread in the name of protest. Rapes were happening there, people were killed and their bodies were being hanged. When that bill was withdrawn, these rioters were shocked because their planning was very long-term. They were controlled in time, otherwise they could have done anything.

Recently, the general public protested against the government in Bangladesh. As a result, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina had to leave the country. As soon as the government fell, attacks against the minorities started there. Temples and houses of Hindus were burnt.

Question- The whole country saw what happened to a lady doctor in Kolkata. Will you raise your voice in Parliament regarding the safety of women?
answer-
Women's safety has always been a matter of concern for me. I am very serious about it. I have always raised my voice in support of women to the best of my ability. 10 years ago, in Aamir Khan's show Satyamev Jayate, I openly opposed item numbers in films. Is a woman's body only for entertainment?

Question: An atmosphere is created about you that it is very difficult to work with Kangana, how will you answer this?
answer-
This is a propaganda used against me. People who are insecure about me and my work say such things. People feel that Kangana speaks too much truth. Well, I have also raised my voice against these people.

I have always spoken against sexism, nepotism and item numbers prevalent in the industry. During the MeToo movement, I exposed many people. During Sushant Singh Rajput's suicide, I made many revelations, due to which many people were offended.

Question- Can it be said for you that as long as you were following the industry, everything was fine. When you started giving your own opinion, things became bad?
answer-
I came to Mumbai in 2004. I got my first film in 2006. Till 2014, I was seen as an ordinary actress. People in the industry had a positive attitude towards me. After 2014, when my films started becoming hits, they started getting worried. They thought who is this outsider girl who has come and made a place for herself. She is neither the daughter of a rich man nor does she have a godfather in the industry, then why is she becoming so successful.

As soon as Tanu Weds Manu Returns became a superhit, they started following me even more. They started abusing me, started character assassination, started calling me a psycho. Meaning, the girl who was normal for them for 10 years, suddenly became a psycho? Film makers like Karan Johar, Ketan Mehta and Apurva Asrani used to give statements against me every day.

Even the people with whom I had broken up years ago started sending me notices. They started saying that I stalk them, make them drink my menstrual blood. Such allegations were made against me that you cannot even imagine in your dreams.

Question: You speak fearlessly all the time. Don't your own people explain to you why you are harming yourself?
answer-
See, my family lives a very simple life. They do not have any attachment. They are happy that now I am spending more and more time in my hometown Mandi. Apart from this, some well-wishers definitely say that you should not fight for everything. They are right to some extent, I will not be able to fight for everything alone.
