The candidate of Mahayuti, who plans to achieve a hat-trick with record votes, Dr. Mahavikas Aghadi has fielded Shiv Sena Ubatha candidate Vaishali Darekar in the election fray, playing the women's card to stop Shinde. As the MNS has supported the Grand Alliance without contesting the election for the second time in a row, it will be a direct fight between Shiv Sena and Shiv Sena to retain the Kalyan seat for the third time.

BJP had taken a public stand against MP Shinde by claiming the Kalyan Lok Sabha seat. Therefore, Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis Dr. Announcing the candidature of Shrikant Shinde, he ordered the disgruntled BJP workers to get to work, giving the right message. The wife of BJP MLA Ganpat Gaikwad, who shot Shiv Sena Shinde faction's city chief Mahesh Gaikwad in the police station, had joined the campaign of Mahavikas Aghadi and warned Shiv Sena (Shinde). However, there were moves at the senior level of the Shiv Sena and the BJP and the disaffection within the Kalyan East BJP was quelled. Chief Minister Eknath Shinde MP Dr. Srikant Shinde's candidature was not announced in the first list but was announced in the final stage like other candidates.
