Junaid Khan has revealed that if he was not Aamir Khan's son, he probably would not have got work in the film Maharaj. However, Junaid had also auditioned for this film.
Recently Junaid came as a guest on the NDTV youth show. Here he shared his work experience so far. Junaid also told that he had auditioned for Aamir's film Lal Singh Chaddha. He said, 'Sometimes you get some parts, sometimes you don't. It is true that I had given some auditions before Maharaj. That could not happen at that time.'
Junaid further said, 'Yes, Papa has talked about it (Lal Singh Chaddha) earlier. When I gave the test for it, Papa liked it very much. But due to the budget of the film, that film could not be made with a new actor. Due to this, I did not get a chance to work in that film.'

Junaid Khan has made his Bollywood debut with the film Maharaj. This film is directed by Siddharth P Malhotra. It is produced under the banner of YRF Entertainment. Apart from Junaid, celebs like Jaideep Ahlawat, Shalini Pandey and Sharvari have worked in the film.
The story of the film is based on a sensitive issue, so there was controversy about it. Only after this, the film was released on the OTT platform Netflix instead of theaters.
After seeing the audition video, Aditya Chopra decided to cast her in the film
Producer Aditya Chopra saw Junaid's one year old audition video. Junaid had auditioned for his father Aamir Khan's film Lal Singh Chaddha. Aditya Chopra liked that video of Junaid very much. After this, he decided to take Junaid in the film.
In an interview to Dainik Bhaskar, Junaid had said, 'Aditya Sir called me and gave me the script of Maharaj. He asked me to read out the first half. When I read it out, he did not react much. He just said, you did well, let's start working.'
Junaid also told that he has two films in the pipeline. He is doing one film under the banner of his father Aamir Khan's production house. South actress Sai Pallavi will be seen with him in this film. Apart from this, he will be seen with Khushi Kapoor in the second film.
The film Lal Singh Chaddha did a lifetime business of 61 crores
Aamir and Kareena starrer 'Lal Singh Chaddha' released in 2022 was a huge flop. The film also had to face boycott. The film earned only Rs 11 crore on the opening day. At the same time, its lifetime Indian box office collection was Rs 61 crore 36 lakh.
It was a remake of the Hollywood film 'Forest Gump' released in 1994. The film was directed by Advait Chandan, while its adaptive screenplay was written by Atul Kulkarni.
