There is a lot of discussion about Aamir Khan's son Junaid Khan's debut film Maharaj. The story of the film is based on a sensitive issue, so there was controversy about it. However, the film has now been released on the OTT platform Netflix. Junaid's acting in the film is being praised a lot. Despite being such a big star kid, Junaid did not get this film easily.

For this, he had to audition in front of the film's producer Aditya Chopra. Aditya Chopra asked Junaid to read half the script of the film. Before this, he had seen Junaid's old audition. Actually Junaid had auditioned for his father's film Lal Singh Chaddha. Aditya Chopra liked this audition clip very much.

Junaid has no objection to the fact that his debut film has been released on OTT instead of in theatres. He said that it is important that as many people as possible watch the film, it does not matter what the medium is.

Junaid Khan told Dainik Bhaskar about his film, response and interesting things related to his father Aamir Khan.

I want the film to be shown on Youtube
Wasn't it your wish that the film should be released on the big screen instead of OTT? Junaid said, 'I want the film to be released directly on YouTube. The more people watch it, the better it will be. I don't care about these things where the film is being released, it is important how much people are liking the film.'

Junaid does not like to be in the limelight too much
You are not like other star kids. You have not even tried to expose yourself. Is there any well thought out strategy? In response, Junaid said, 'No, this is my nature. I do not like to be in the limelight too much. I am not even on social media. Social media never excites me.'

Father Aamir Khan also liked the film
Who gave a compliment after watching the film? He said, 'My family liked the film very much. Nani and Dadi liked it very much. Mom-Dad have also seen the film. Dad is such a person who does not give his opinion without being asked. He liked the story of the film before it started. However, he did not give any opinion on what is right and what is wrong.'

Junaid is Aamir's elder son.

After seeing the audition video, Aditya Chopra decided to cast her in the film
Producer Aditya Chopra saw Junaid's one year old audition video. Junaid had auditioned for his father Aamir Khan's film Lal Singh Chaddha. Aditya Chopra liked that video of Junaid very much. After this, he decided to take Junaid in the film.

Junaid said, 'Aditya sir called me and gave me the script of Maharaj. He asked me to read the first half and recite it. When I recited it, he did not react much. He just said, you did well, let's start working.'

Unlike others, Junaid loves giving auditions
Nowadays actors don't like to give auditions or look tests after doing a few films. What is your opinion on this? Junaid said, 'I like giving auditions. This gives practice. This also lets the director know what he wants and what you are able to give.'

Junaid liked Maharaj's story very much
It is usually seen that the market is quite hot for the debut films of big star kids. Their films are promoted on a very large level. However, such an atmosphere was not created for Maharaj. The subject of the film is also very sensitive. In such a situation, why did you choose this film?

In response, he said, 'I liked the story of the film very much. Getting a film from the country's biggest production house is a big deal in itself. Since the story was based on a serious issue, I had full faith in my director that he would be able to show this story very well on the big screen.'

Junaid Khan has played the role of social reformer and journalist Karsandas Mulji in the film. Karsandas Mulji had raised his voice against the exploitation of women.

Which genre of films would you like to do in the future? Will you be seen in action films? Junaid said, 'I would like to do films of every genre. Action films require a little more hard work, but I will definitely do them as well.'

Junaid said that he has two films in the pipeline right now. He is doing one film under the banner of his father Aamir Khan's production house. South actress Sai Pallavi will be seen with him in this film. Apart from this, he will be seen with Khushi Kapoor in the second film.
