Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah fame Jennifer Mistry has won the case filed against Asit Modi. Asit Modi has been directed to clear all the dues of Jennifer and pay a fine of Rs 5 lakh. Jennifer herself has confirmed this. Jennifer said that the decision had come in February itself, but she was forbidden to share it with the media.
Jennifer said that despite the decision being in her favour, she has not yet received the outstanding amount. He is also sad that Asit Modi is still roaming freely. In fact, last year Jennifer Mistry had filed a case of sexual harassment against the show's producer Asit Kumar Modi. He had complained about this to the police. Now after a year, an update has come in this case.
Jennifer had sought help from Maharashtra government
Jennifer Mistry told ETimes – I had lodged a complaint with the police, but there was no specific response from there. I was worried. Thinking this, I sought help from the Maharashtra government. A local complaint committee was formed by the government. With the formation of this committee, the decision came quickly. Asit Modi was found guilty under the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace Act 2013.
Jennifer alleged that Asit had been harassing her for a long time. Whereas Asit said that the actress's attitude on the set was bad.
Haven't received a penny yet
Jennifer said that the committee had given its decision on 15 February 2024 itself. However, he was prohibited from sharing this in the media. Jennifer said- Asit Modi has to give me Rs 20-25 lakh. Apart from this, he has to pay Rs 5 lakh separately as compensation for the harassment. However, even after 40 days of the decision, I have not received a single penny. Apart from this, people like Modi and Sohail Romani (operation head of the show) are still roaming freely.

Now understand what the whole matter is
Jennifer had talked about her past in an interview given to Dainik Bhaskar last year. He had said that Asit Modi used to praise his lips. Used to repeatedly call him to the room and send objectionable messages. Jennifer had said- He used to call me again and again and invite me to his room. When I refused, he used to say that he was joking, but he kept doing this continuously.
He used to sit in front of everyone and praise my lips, which I did not like. He used to send me personal messages, which I continuously ignored. He was approaching me indirectly.
