'It would have been better if I hadn't topped the board': Prachi from UP disappointed by trolling

But despite scoring high marks, she is being trolled on social media because of her facial hair. Prachi is distressed by this. It would have been better if I had not toned the 10th exam. Prachi Nigam has said, “It would have been better if I had not joined the board first. Because I wouldn't have faced such trolls for my facial hair. While I was being trolled to my face, some came to my defense. He informed the trolls that such facial hair in girls is often due to hormonal changes. The whole thing obviously makes me sad; But people write what they feel (on social media) and nothing can be done about it.”

Prachi's parents are also worried, but advise the girl to ignore the trolls.

Prachi's mother Mamta Nigam said that I told my daughter not to pay attention to trolls. Especially since many social media users supported my daughter after a few days.” Prachi's father Chandra Prakash Nigam said, “Though our family is upset because of the trolling, they did not pay much attention to it. There are all kinds of people in society. We naturally felt bad; But at the same time we are proud of our daughter for scoring maximum marks,”

Not only Prachi's family but also her school principal and friends came forward to support her and termed the trolling as unfortunate. “From the very beginning, we were confident that Prachi's name would be among the toppers. “She has brought glory to the whole of Uttar Pradesh by scoring 98.50 per cent in her class 10th examination,” said the principal of Prachi's school.
