Bollywood actor Irrfan Khan died in April 2020. He was suffering from neuroendocrine cancer. Irrfan's last film was director Homi Adajania's 'Angrezi Medium'.
In a recent interview, Homi talked about Irrfan's decision in which the actor had talked about shooting the film along with chemotherapy. Along with this, he also shared good memories related to the shooting of the film.

Irrfan said- 'I have nothing except acting'
In an interview given to Cyrus Bharucha, Homi told that while working on the film, Irrfan's health was quite down but he remained motivated regarding his commitment.
Homi said, 'When we were shooting, everyone on the set knew that Irrfan had cancer. Before the shooting started, I had also asked Irfan why he wanted to shoot in this condition?
Irrfan said, 'If I don't act, I have nothing else to do. For me it is like a spiritual experience. It keeps me happy.
The makers had kept the atmosphere of the set light for Irrfan. Irrfan often used to play cricket and fly kites on the sets.
'We had a good time with Irrfan and Sutapa'
Hami also told in the interview how he and his team maintained a happy atmosphere for Irrfan on the set during the shooting of this film. Homi said, 'I remember his health had worsened but he called me in October and told me that he could shoot. I asked- when? So he replied – From next month.
After this I became so happy that I cannot tell. We all knew that this could be our last journey together. In such a situation, the entire team of our film focused only on keeping Irrfan happy during the shooting. We had a wonderful time with him and his wife Sutapa.
Apart from Irrfan, many other big actors were also seen in the film 'Angrezi Medium'.
It was a sequel to 'Hindi Medium' released in 2017.
The film 'Angrezi Medium', released in 2020, was the sequel to the film 'Hindi Medium' released in 2017. Most of the film was shot in London so that Irrfan could get better care from doctors along with his work. Apart from Irrfan, actors like Kareena Kapoor, Radhika Madan, Dimple Kapadia, Deepak Dobriyal and Manu Rishi were seen in important roles in the film.
