Industry News : India ranks second in road networking; Preparing to compete with America leader

  • During the tenure of Union Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari, India has reached the second rank in road networking in the world due to the large number of roads, highways and expressway projects in India.
  • In the near future, India will try to compete with America in the road network. Pakistan's number is not even in the list of top ten countries in terms of road networking.
  • Since 2014, 1.5 lakh km of new road projects have been completed in India.
  • India has set a record by completing 100 km expressway in 100 hours.
  • Last year, India's record for constructing a 75 km highway in 106 hours was recorded in the Guinness Book of Records.
  • A similar construction has been done on the Agra-Lucknow Expressway to allow aircraft to land without ships.
