Wings of IndiGo and Air India collided at the airport. An IndiGo flight was proceeding on the taxiway when a part of the flight collided with another Air India flight. No damage was done in this accident.
According to the Air India Express officials after the accident, one of our aircraft was waiting for clearance to fly to Chennai, Tamil Nadu on the runway of Kolkata Airport. At this time, the wing tip of another airline's plane hit him. The case is under investigation. We are cooperating with Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) and Airport Authority. We apologize for the inconvenience caused to the passengers due to this accident, officials said.
