The Indian film 'Sad Letters of an Imaginary Woman' will have its world premiere at Asia's biggest film festival, Busan International Film Festival. This film has been selected for South Korea's reputed Asian Cine Fund (ACF).
Busan International Film Festival has announced this on Thursday. The film's director Nidhi Saxena is the first Indian female director whose film has received ACF.
Nidhi is a resident of Jaipur. The shooting of this film has been completed. Nidhi will go to South Korea next month for the post-production of the film and after the completion of the work, the world premiere of the film will be held in Busan International Film Festival in October. Apart from Nidhi, this fund has been received by three more directors, including two Korean and one Chinese filmmakers. Under this fund, post-production services like color and DI, sound mixing, English subtitle spotting and DCP creation of the film are provided.
Nidhi Saxena expressed her happiness in a special conversation. She said, 'This film is actually produced by three countries. India, Sri Lanka and Korea. 34 years ago an Indian film received this fund. However, then the director of that film was a man. Now it is the first time that a woman's film has received this fund.'
