India pierced America's ears in the Kejriwal case leader

New Delhi, Leading News Service: India on Wednesday “strongly” objected to the United States (US) spokesperson's remarks about “certain legal proceedings in India” referring to Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's arrest by the ED. Explained by the Ministry of External Affairs, “Diplomacy requires states to respect the sovereignty and internal affairs of others. This responsibility is greater in the case of cooperative democracy. Legal procedures in India are based on an independent judiciary that is committed to objective and timely judgment. It is wrong to cast doubt on it,” the Ministry of External Affairs said.

On Monday, a US spokesperson said the US was closely following the news of Kejriwal's arrest and was encouraging a fair legal process. According to the sources, a senior US official was called and informed about the Indian government's response. Meanwhile, Arvind Kejriwal, who is under arrest in the liquor policy malpractice case, has been granted judicial custody till March 28. Now Kejriwal will be produced in the court on March 28 at 2 pm.
