New Delhi, Leading News Service: India and Bangladesh have decided to fight terrorism and Naxalism together. A bilateral agreement in this regard has been signed in a meeting between Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is on a visit to India, at Hyderabad House.
Prime Minister Modi informed that an agreement has been reached with Bangladesh on mutual cooperation including fighting terrorism and Naxalism. In the last year, India has held ten meetings with Bangladesh and this meeting has been very important. He said that Sheikh Hasina is the first guest to visit India after the formation of the National Democratic Alliance government.
An agreement was also signed with Bangladesh on the issue of starting trade in Indian Rupees along with starting electricity supply from 1320 Maitreyi Thermal Power Plant. Apart from this, Prime Minister Modi said that cooperation in defense material production and modernization of armed forces was discussed. Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said that India is our main neighbor and reliable friend. Sheikh Hasina saluted the soldiers who sacrificed their lives in the 1971 Bangladesh Liberation War.
