Imtiaz's fees increased in the industry because of Shahid: The director said- he thought people would fool me

The film Jab We Met is one of the best films of Shahid Kapoor and director Imtiaz Ali. Seeing the success of this film, the actor suggested to Imtiaz that he should not fix his directorial fees.

Shahid had suggested changing the title of the film

Imtiaz Ali was present as a guest in an interview of Sit with Hitlist. Here it was mentioned that Shahid had advised Imtiaz to change the initial title of the film Jab We Met. Actually, initially the title of the film was Geet. Shahid said that no hero would agree to work in a film with the title Heroine.

'Shahid had said- I should not fix my fees'

On this, Imtiaz laughed and said, 'I remember that incident. Shahid has guided me a lot. He told me an important thing, which I never forget and always thank him for this. Shahid told me that Jaw We Met has done well. So I should not fix the fee for my next film.

Imtiaz further said- I then asked him (Shahid Kapoor) if I can ask for lakhs of rupees after this film. To this Shahid said- Perhaps, you will get double the amount and who knows maybe you will also get 1 crore rupees. Because of this you should not fix your fees.

Imtiaz said- Shahid used to think I was a fool

Imtiaz also said- Shahid had told me to tell him before signing the next film. Maybe he thought I was a fool. People will make a fool of me, so Shahid is like my guide.
