This picture is of actress Meherbano. Meherbano Mohammad had worked in about 100 films in the 40s and 50s.
Didn't feel like studying, used to loiter all day long
Imran did his early education from Manekji Cooper Education Trust School. Later, he studied at Sydenham College, Mumbai. Then he completed his graduation from Mumbai University.
Imran was not very interested in studies. In many interviews he has also mentioned that he used to have fun with his friends all the time in college. This action of his troubled his family a lot. Every day he was scolded for this.
Despite belonging to a film background, Imran never wanted to become an actor. He dreamed of becoming a graphics designer. For this he also did a course in special effects.
Thrown out of dance class for looking at girls
Imran was completely inexperienced in dancing, so his family wanted him to learn some dance steps. For this reason, he was enrolled in Shiamak Davar dance class. Shiamak Davar used to organize a summer camp every summer, but even here Imran used to spend the whole day patrolling with his friends. Here he used to go only to meet girls.
This was the reason why Imran was not promoted in the next summer camp and he remained at the primary stage. One day he encountered Shiamak Davar. He asked Imran – Why are you still a part of the primary stage summer camp?
Imran could not answer this question. Seeing this carelessness, Shiamak Davar expelled him from the dance class. Imran himself had confessed this in the TV show Aap Ki Adalat.
Movies related to vagrancy
Imran often used to sit with friends at a corner near the house. In those days, Mahesh Bhatt's brother Mukesh Bhatt used to look after the entire accounts of Vishesh Films production house. He often used to go home to meet Imran's grandmother. He had been watching Imran strolling on the street with his friends for many days. One day he couldn't bear it anymore. He went to Imran's grandmother and asked- What does he do on the street? Send it to me.
Imran's grandmother knew all the norms of the film industry. He believed that Imran did not have even a single quality to become a hero. Despite this, he sent Imran to Mukesh Bhatt on his request. At first Mukesh scolded him a lot. Then he appointed Imran as assistant director in the film Raaz. After this Imran also started taking acting classes.

Completed a scene in 40 retakes
Imran's ego was hurt by this whole incident and he decided that one day he would prove himself as a top actor. Then he focused his entire attention only on films. To learn more about acting, he started going to the sets every day. He also changed his behavior a lot, after seeing which Mahesh and Mukesh Bhatt gave him the film Footpath. He played the lead role in this film.
The story also goes that Imran was very nervous on the first scene of this film. As a result, he gave the first scene only after 40 retakes. The film Footpath had average earnings at the box office.
Got the tag of serial kisser for wearing a T-shirt
After Murder, Imran was seen in films like Tumsa Nahi Dekha, Jahaar, Aashiq Banaya Aapne, Chocolate and Kalyug. After this he went to Mauritius for the shooting of the 2006 film Jawaani Deewani. There his friend found a T-shirt with serial kisser written on it.
Imran asked for that T-shirt from his friend, but the friend refused to give it. Then Imran stole it and shot a song for the film in the same T-shirt. Serial kisser was written on the T-shirt, after seeing which people tagged him as serial kisser. He himself had said these things in your court.
Image of serial kisser harmed films like Awarapan
Imran had recently talked to Bhaskar about this. He said, 'The image of serial kisser was there earlier, it is not there now. My image was created like this through marketing. I don't even consider it wrong, because my films were benefiting from it.
The problems started when I started doing films like Awarapan. This is my best film till date. People still like it a lot. However, this film did not work at that time. The reason was that people could not accept me in that role. Perhaps my serial kisser image there harmed the film.
When I tried to change myself with time, people said that we want the old Emraan Hashmi again. However, now I have to play different characters. I can't fall back into my old ways.
There was a stampede in Pakistan to see Imran's paradise
The 2008 film Jannat was also released in Pakistan, most of whose shows were housefull. The competition among moviegoers was such that there was a stampede for tickets outside a theater in Pakistan. Bipasha refused to work with Imran citing his low height.
Emraan Hashmi was also previously cast in the 2011 film Murder 2. The makers had earlier planned to cast Bipasha Basu opposite him, but Bipasha rejected the proposal. She said that she would not like to do a romantic scene on screen with an actor of short height.
Imran was deeply hurt by this. Then on her request the makers cast Jacqueline Fernandez. This film proved to be a hit at the box office.
However, after some time, seeing Imran's rising stardom, Bipasha agreed to work with him in the film Raaz 3.
Aishwarya Rai refused to work together after derogatory comments
