“I will call once a year…”: NEET candidate from Kota goes missing after texting his father

Rajendra Meena, a 19-year-old NEET examinee, went missing from Kota, Rajasthan after sending a message to his father saying he would call him once a year. In the message sent by Rajendra to his father, it is said, “I have eight thousand rupees. I am leaving home for the next five years. After sending this message to you, I will sell my mobile and destroy the sim card. Please tell mom not to worry about me. I will not take any wrong step. I have everyone's numbers. If necessary, I will definitely call once a year.”

According to information given to the police by Rajendra's father, Rajendra went missing on May 6. He had left the paying guest's residence in Kota at 1.30 pm. After receiving his farewell, the family started searching for Rajendra before filing a missing complaint with the police. Rajendra's whereabouts are yet to be ascertained. Police have dispatched teams to search for him.
