Arjun Rampal has talked about the breakdown of his first marriage with Meher Jessia in an interview. During this, Arjun admitted that he had made a mistake by getting married at a young age. Arjun said that he was only 24 years old when he got married.

On The Ranveer Show, Arjun said, “When I got married, I was only 24 years old. I think it was too early. When you are young, you need to learn and experience a lot in life. You have to mature. Men mature later than women. It is a fact that we are idiots. If you want to be successful in marriage, then wait.”

Talking about his divorce from Meher Jessia, Arjun said, 'That was a very difficult time. Divorce is not easy for anyone. It is especially difficult for children.' Arjun said that after divorce, there is a feeling of freedom for some time but later you start feeling lonely. You start missing home.'
Ex-wife has a good bonding with her girlfriend
Arjun also told that he has a good bonding with his ex-wife Mehr and his daughters' girlfriend Gabriella.
On the question of not getting married to Gabriella despite being in a long relationship and having two children, Arjun said, “We are married but only in our hearts. Marriage is just a piece of paper. You get legally bound to someone which can change your attitude towards each other.”

Arjun and Meher separated in May 2018
In May 2018, Arjun and Mehr announced their separation. Their marriage lasted for 20 years. They got married in 1998 and had two daughters. After the divorce, Arjun is in a relationship with South African model and actress Gabriella Demetriades. They also have two sons.
