On Saturday, RJD leader Lalu Prasad Yadav had personally criticized Prime Minister Modi regarding his family. Then on Monday, March 4, while addressing a gathering, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that the entire country is his family. After the Prime Minister's announcement, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP President J. P. Nadda, General Secretary Vinod Tawde, Union Minister Piyush Goyal, Nitin Gadkari, Jyotiraditya Shinde, Kiren Rijeju, State Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, MP Manoj Tiwari among many BJP leaders changed their names on X. The leaders have written 'Me Modiancha Parivar' before their names. Spokesperson Sudhanshu Trivedi also held a press conference on the same issue at the BJP headquarters.
Rashtriya Janata Dal organized a large meeting at Gandhi Maidan in Patna on Saturday. Leaders of India Aghadi also participated in this. While addressing the people of Bihar, Lalu Prasad Yadav had personally criticized Narendra Modi. “Narendra Modi is talking about nepotism these days. But they have no family. And they are not Hindus either.” In such words, Lalu Prasad Yadav targeted Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi strongly responded to this statement of Lalu Prasad Yadav. Addressing a public meeting in Adilabad, Telangana, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, “I was targeted by the India Aghadi because of my family. But the whole country is my family. All citizens living in the country are my family. Drowning in corruption and nepotism, the leaders of India Alliance are getting restless. Now they have released their real manifesto for 2024 elections. When I talk about his dynasticism, these people are saying that Modi has no family. Tomorrow they may even say that you have never been jailed, so you cannot enter politics.” Modi also used this trick.
A repeat of 'Chowkidar Chor Hai'?
Congress had given the slogan 'Chowkidar Chor Hai' in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. After that BJP leaders started 'Main Bhi Chowkidar' campaign targeting Congress. And BJP leaders and office bearers were writing 'main bhi chowkidar' on social media. After Lalu Prasad Yadav's criticism that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has no family, now the BJP has responded by saying “Modi ka Parivar”.
