Deepika Singh: Holi played in Paharganj is close to heart

Holi is my favorite festival. Many memories related to this festival are special. Holi celebrated in Paharganj, Delhi will always be close to the heart. Holi was not played there but was celebrated. He used to play a lot with colors with his grandparents, cousins and friends.

I remember, on one Holi, I did not feel like playing with colors. But, my friends forcefully applied color on me. Just what then? They were surprised by the color I gave them. I still remember that face of his.

Shubhangi Atre: Papa asks to play Holi with hot water to avoid fever

For me, Holi is a festival of colours, fun, eating, dancing and smoking cannabis. I never miss a single opportunity to celebrate it. This year too, we plan to have a lot of fun with our friends. I have some friends who come home without being invited. I enjoy till night. I am very fond of playing Holi since childhood. She would leave home in the morning and return only late in the evening. I am the youngest and everyone's favorite in my house.

I am a resident of Madhya Pradesh. It is a bit cold there during Holi. My father used to heat water from electric rod. When my friends came, my father used to ask them to play with my daughter with hot water so that she does not get fever. I always remember this statement from my father.

Isha Singh: Permanent color did not fade for a week

When I was in Bhopal, our entire family used to go out together to play Holi. Now that I have shifted to Mumbai for my work, it is very difficult to get time off due to my hectic schedule.

I remember on Holi when I was about 12 years old, there was a big tub full of water from which everyone was filling their pitchers. My cousins picked me up and threw me into the tub, which drenched me from head to toe. I thought it would be a minor discoloration which would go away soon. Although the tub was filled with permanent color. Despite all my efforts and home remedies the color did not fade for a week.

Gitanjali Mishra: Eggs were thrown, she cried a lot

Holi celebrated in school and college is always remembered. We enjoyed without any responsibilities. I remember an incident from my childhood. I was probably 10 years old. Mother suddenly asked me to bring milk from the market. Left the house without thinking.

All the people of the locality applied black, green and blue colors on their faces. Not only this, eggs were also thrown at me. I felt very bad. I kept crying for 3 days.

Shruti Chaudhary: I miss the Malpua made by my mother a lot.

On the day of Holi, mother definitely prepares Malpua. There was no limit to my excitement after seeing that Malpua. I used to wait for all the family members to gather and eat that Malpua. I miss the delicious food prepared by my mother a lot.
