Hindu-Muslim Marriage Illegal | leader

Bhopal, news agency: In a case, the Madhya Pradesh High Court ruled that the marriage of a Muslim youth with a Hindu girl is illegal.

In a case in Madhya Pradesh, a young man from the Muslim community and a young woman from the Hindu community got married under the Special Marriage Act. The couple then filed a petition in the High Court seeking recognition of the marriage. The couple had also sought police protection in court to register the marriage, citing the Special Marriage Act of 1954. The case was heard on Thursday. This time the court also refused to give police protection to the couple.

Citing various judgments of the bench, Justice Gurupal Singh Ahluwalia said that Muslim parental law does not recognize such marriages. Therefore, even if the couple has registered the marriage on the basis of a special law, this marriage cannot be legal. Both Muslim youth and Hindu youth are religious. Both have faith in their religion. Therefore, even if the marriage is registered on the basis of special marriage, this marriage is declared illegal according to the personal law of the Muslim religion, the court clarified at this time.

The Hindu relatives of the girl opposed the marriage in the court. The girl's parents also expressed fear that if the girl's marriage is approved, we will be ostracized in our religion.
