Hemant Soren: High Court rejected Hemant Soren's plea, but allowed 'for this'









Leaders Online Desk: Jharkhand High Court gave a big blow to former Chief Minister of Jharkhand Hemant Soren. The court has dismissed the petition challenging Soren's arrest. A bench of Acting High Court judge and Justice Navneet Kumar reserved the verdict on February 28 after completion of the hearing. After that, a hearing was held today (3rd) in the Jharkhand High Court. Meanwhile, Soren's plea against arrest was rejected today. (Hemant Soren)

Hemant soren : Permission to attend uncle's Shraddha in police arrangement

Hemant Soren had sought a one-day interim bail to attend his uncle's Shraddha. The court rejected Soren's bail plea. However, to their relief, they were allowed to attend the event under police security. However, the court has instructed Hemant Soren that he will not talk to the media during this period. A blow to the petition challenging the detention

Apart from this, Soren has also suffered a setback on the petition challenging the arrest. A criminal writ petition by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) challenging his arrest was dismissed by the High Court. After hearing all the arguments on February 28, the court had reserved its verdict and announced the verdict today. (Hemant Soren)

Senior advocate Kapil Sibal and High Court advocate Piyush Chitresh argued on behalf of Soren. SV Raju and Amit Das argued for ED. Hemant Soren had filed a petition challenging his arrest in the Jharkhand High Court. Soren said that the case filed against him is not money laundering. The land that ED is talking about was never in his name. Soren filed a petition in the Supreme Court against the decision not being pronounced even after the order was reserved. The Supreme Court has sought a reply from the ED.
