Riyadh: The number of people who died due to heatstroke during this year's Haj pilgrimage has exceeded one thousand, including 68 Indians. According to the information given by various news agencies, the temperature has gone above 50 degrees in Saudi this summer, which has affected the pilgrims from various countries. The death toll from heatstroke crossed 1,000 on Thursday, including 68 Indian Haj pilgrims. Authorities said 58 Egyptian pilgrims died in a single day on Thursday. A total of 1081 pilgrims from ten countries have lost their lives in Hajj. Among the dead Indian pilgrims, 13 are from Kerala, while many Indians are missing. On the other hand, the administration in Saudi Arabia has said that pilgrims from Egypt, Jordan, Indonesia, Iran, Senegal, and Tunisia have died.
