Sodhi aka Gurucharan Singh of the comedy show 'Tarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah' has been in the headlines for a long time. Sodhi has entertained the audience for years by being a part of this show. But he suddenly disappeared from the show. It is said that the decision to leave the show was not Sodhi's. The actor revealed during an interview that he was replaced in 2012 without informing him.
In an interview with Siddharth Kannan, Gurcharan Singh told that the makers had kicked him out of the show in the same way as Jennifer Mistry was kicked out. The actor said- I did not leave the show but I was kicked out of the show. 'Tarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah' is like my family. If I did not consider it my family, I would have said a lot about it, but I never did.
Gurcharan further said- I was shocked when the new Sodhi was introduced during an episode. At that time I was watching the show with my family in Delhi. In that episode Dharam ji had come to promote the film. In the same episode he introduced the new Sodhi. At that time some talks were going on about the contract and agreement. But I was not even told that I was being replaced.
Gurucharan said- After replacing me, the makers were under a lot of pressure. I was also getting a lot of pressure from the audience. When I used to go to the gym, people would say why did you go? I am not feeling well, you should go back. I used to tell people that this is not in my hands.
Let us tell you that Gurcharan Singh returned after leaving the show in 2012. But he left the show again in 2020. Currently, he is keeping distance from the screen.
