Leaders Online: Gold rate hit a new all-time high today on Thursday. The price of gold has reached close to 67 thousand. Today, pure gold i.e. 24 carat rate opened at Rs 66,971 per 10 grams. Yesterday, the price of pure gold closed at Rs 66,834. Today again gold price increased by Rs.137. Silver has also become expensive and the rate has opened at 74 thousand per kg. (Gold Price Today)
Meanwhile, gold is likely to go up to 70 thousand per 10 grams in the next few days. Experts in the bullion market are of the opinion that the price of silver may cross 75 thousand per kg.
According to India Bullion and Jewelers Association, 24 carat gold opened at Rs 66,971 per 10 grams, 22 carat at Rs 61,345, 18 carat at Rs 50,228 and 14 carat at Rs 39,178. Silver rate has gone up to Rs 74,011 per kg.
The price of gold has risen in the international market. In the international market, the price of gold has increased by $5.03 and is trading at $2,196.05 per ounce. Silver is trading at $24.62 per ounce.
Reasons for bullish gold price
The prospect of a global recession in 2024 as well as increased demand from weddings, a weaker dollar index and buying by central banks around the world have boosted gold prices.
