Leaders Online: Gold is bought on the occasion of Gudi Padwa. But before that, the gold rate hit a new all-time high on Monday (8th). Today, the price of gold per 10 grams went up to Rs 71,064. On April 5, the price of pure gold had closed at Rs 69,882 per 10 grams. It increased by Rs 1,182 per 10 grams today on April 8. Silver rate has increased by Rs 2,287 to Rs 81,383 per kg. According to India Bullion and Jewelers Association, on Monday pure gold i.e. 24 carat opened at Rs 71,064 per 10 grams, 22 carat at Rs 65,095, 18 carat at Rs 53,298 and 14 carat at Rs 41,572. Silver rate has opened at Rs 81,383 per kg.
Meanwhile, gold rose by Rs 440 to Rs 71,080 per 10 grams on MCX today. Meanwhile, silver rate rose by around Rs 1,000 to Rs 82,064 per kg. Silver prices rose by more than 1 percent. Gold prices have rallied as the dollar index (DXY) fell. The dollar index is down 0.73 percent in the past five trading sessions.
Last week, June gold futures on MCX touched an all-time high of Rs 70,699 per 10 grams. Meanwhile, May silver futures touched a record high of Rs 81,030 per kg at the end of the week.
