Rajkot (Gujarat) : News Agency : At least 27 people, including 12 children, were killed in a massive fire that broke out in the game zone of TRP Mall on Kalavad Road in Rajkot, Gujarat on Saturday afternoon.
A 'DNA' test will be done to identify the dead bodies. Firefighters managed to rescue 10 people after the fire broke out. The game zone is completely burnt down. The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained. The exact information about how many people are trapped inside is not available. The death toll is rising as bodies are being removed in rescue operations.
Repair and renovation work is underway at many places in the game zone. A large amount of ply and pieces of wood were scattered about. Attending personnel attempted to extinguish the fire; But there was no success. In just 30 seconds, the fire spread throughout the game zone. There were also petrol and diesel cans, people started removing them. A gas cylinder was also kept at the back. The mall has two floors of game zones.
