Zaira Wasim, who has been a part of great films like Dangal and Secret Superstar, has left the industry years ago. However, the actress is constantly in the headlines for some reason or the other. Recently, Zaira Wasim bought food items from a local bakery in Srinagar, however, when she found moldy in it, Zaira expressed her displeasure and warned the fans.
Zaira Wasim recently shared a video on her official Instagram, in which she showed a pie bought from a bakery. In the video, she showed the fungus inside the pie and wrote, “Whenever you buy something from local bakers, check it twice before eating. My pie has fungus.”
Zaira has posted the location of Srinagar with the video. Let us tell you that Zaira Wasim belongs to Srinagar. After coming into films, Zaira shifted to Mumbai, however, after saying goodbye to the industry in 2019, she is now living in Srinagar.
Let us tell you that Zaira Wasim played the childhood role of wrestler Geeta Phogat in the 2016 blockbuster hit film Dangal. Zaira Wasim won the National Award for Best Supporting Actress for her debut film Dangal.
After gaining popularity from her first film, Zaira Wasim appeared in films like Secret Superstar and The Sky Is Pink. Zaira was given the Filmfare Best Actress (Critics) Award for Secret Superstar.
She remained in the headlines more for being embroiled in controversies than films
In January 2017, a picture of Zaira Wasim's meeting with the then Chief Minister of Kashmir Mehbooba Mufti came out. Sharing the picture, Mehbooba Mufti called Zaira a Kashmiri role model. However, many Kashmiri people did not like being called a role model. After seeing the outrage of the people on social media, Zaira apologized and said that she is not a Kashmiri role model. Many Bollywood celebs supported Zaira on this controversy.
After this, in 2017, Zaira released a video and said that Vikas Sachdeva, the person sitting behind her in the Vistara Airlines flight, had behaved indecently with her. Vikas Sachdeva was arrested after the video went viral. However, his wife said that Zaira had made baseless allegations against him. On the other hand, Zaira was heavily trolled on social media after the video went viral.
Suddenly left the industry in 2019
In the year 2019, Zaira Wasim suddenly decided to leave the film industry. She shared a post and said, Five years ago I made a decision that changed my life forever. As I stepped into Bollywood, the doors of massive popularity opened for me. I got appreciation and love in this field, but it led me to the path of ignorance, as I unknowingly made changes outside my faith. I continued to work in an environment that constantly interfered with my faith, it threatened my relationship with religion. I lost all the barq from my life. I was constantly struggling to maintain my faith. But failed miserably every time. This is my first step as I have reached the clarity of realization of the path I want to follow. During this period, I knowingly or unknowingly sowed the seeds of greed in the hearts of many people, but my advice to everyone is that success, fame, power or wealth cannot be more important than peace and faith at any cost.
