Fraud complaint filed against Digangana Suryavanshi: 6 crores duped in Akshay Kumar's name for Zeenat Aman's series showstopper

The series Showstopper is constantly surrounded by controversies. Some time ago there was news that Zeenat Aman's OTT debut series Showstopper has been shut down due to lack of money, while now the makers of the series have filed a complaint against actress Digangana Suryavanshi accusing her of cheating crores of rupees. The actress is accused of cheating the makers of Rs 6 crore in the name of Akshay Kumar.

MH Films has stated in a complaint lodged against actress Digangana Suryavanshi at Amboli Police Station that the actress had assured the makers that she knows Akshay Kumar, Shahrukh Khan and Salman Khan well. She had told the makers that she would bring them as a presenter for the series showstopper. With this promise, she took Rs 6 crore from the makers to make Akshay the presenter of the film and now she has refused to pay the money. The makers have registered a case against her under sections 420 and 406 of the IPC.

Digangana threatened the makers

MH Films Production director Manish Harishankar's lawyer Falguni Brahmbhatt told News18 that Digangana tried to extort a huge amount from the makers and when she was not paid, she threatened the makers of dire consequences if her demands were not met.

The actress also filed a case against designer and actor Rakesh Bedi

Apart from actress Digangana Suryavanshi, the makers have also filed a defamation case against her fashion designer Krishna Parmar and actor Rakesh Bedi. It is alleged that both of them have given false statements related to the show to the media, which has tarnished the image of their series.

Let us tell you that some time ago there were media reports that the series Showstopper has been shut down due to lack of money. There were also reports that the people who had invested in the film were not getting their money back. It was said that the actors associated with the film were also not being paid their fees. However, the makers have called all these allegations baseless. They have said that 90 percent of the fees have been paid to all the actors.

Questions are also being raised on the makers

Recently, a close source associated with the series told News 18 in an interview that the makers are making false allegations against the actors to avoid returning the money to the financiers. It is being claimed that the series is stuck for the last 2 years. The financiers are demanding their money back, but Manish Harishankar has not been able to sell the series to anyone. To save himself, Manish has accused the actors of fraud, which is completely baseless.

Let us tell you that Veteran actress Zeenat Aman is going to make her OTT debut with this series. Many actors like Zeenat Aman, Digangana Suryavanshi, Shweta Tiwari, Akanksha Puri, Zarina Wahab, Kiran Kumar, Rakesh Bedi are in important roles in the series.
