Leader Online Desk: The first session of the eighteenth Lok Sabha will begin from June 24. Also, the session of the Rajya Sabha will start from June 27. 27th June Reji President will address the joint meeting. New oath ceremony, election of Lok Sabha Speaker, President's address etc. will be discussed during the session period. Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju informed that the work of both houses will continue till July 3.
In the 18th Lok Sabha, the ruling BJP-led NDA has 293 MPs while the opposition India Aghadi has 240 MPs. Rijiju said in a post on X that the first session of the 18th Lok Sabha will begin on June 24, in which the newly elected members will take oath. On the first three days of the session, the newly elected leaders will be sworn in. Along with this, the House Speaker will also be elected. The session will conclude on July 3. President Draupadi Murmu will address the joint session of Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha on June 27.
