Firing case at Salman's house: Preparations to bring Lawrence Bishnoi's brother Anmol from US, Mumbai Police starts extradition process

Apart from the firing at Salman's house, Anmol is also an accused in the murder case of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala and Baba Siddiqui.

The process of bringing Anmol Bishnoi, accused in the case of firing at actor Salman Khan's house, from America has started. On April 14, two people riding a bike opened fire at Salman's house. However, there was no loss of life or property. Anmol is the younger brother of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, who is lodged in Sabarmati jail.

A senior officer of the Crime Branch of Mumbai Police said that the Maharashtra Control of Organized Crime Act (MCOCA) court has already issued a non-bailable warrant for Anmol's arrest. The court has also issued a Red Corner Notice to search for him abroad.

According to Mumbai Police, some court documents are currently being awaited, after which a formal proposal for extradition will be sent to the central government for further action. The Special Court had approved his Crime Branch application on October 16. Hopefully the police will get the documents soon.

Earlier on October 25, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) had announced a reward of Rs 10 lakh for the arrest of Anmol Bishnoi, brother of gangster Lawrence. Apart from the firing at Salman's house, Anmol is also an accused in the murder case of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala and Baba Siddiqui.

There was firing at Salman Khan's house in April this year.

On April 14, at 5 am in the morning, two bike-riding attackers had fired 4 rounds at Salman's house, Galaxy Apartment. Salman was in his house at the time of firing. After the incident, Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde spoke to Salman Khan on phone. Shinde had asked the Mumbai Police Commissioner to increase the security of Salman.

Lawrence Bishnoi Group had taken responsibility for the firing. Group member Anmol Bishnoi had shared a post. It was written that Salman may be attacked in the future also. However, this post was not confirmed by the police.

Lawrence had threatened Salman in March 2023 In March 2023, Salman Khan's security was increased after receiving a threat from Lawrence Bishnoi. He has received Y+ category security from the Maharashtra government. NIA had said that Khan was on the top of the list of 10 people whom jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi had threatened to kill. The Bishnoi community is angry over the blackbuck hunting incident that took place in 1998, citing which Lawrence had threatened to kill Salman in a TV interview.

How many times have you received threats before this?

1. In June 2022, when Salman's father Salim Khan, who was out for a morning walk, returned home, he received an unknown letter in which he and Salman were threatened with death. It was written in the letter – 'Salman Khan will make your condition like Moosewala.' After this, Salim Khan contacted the police with the help of his security personnel and a case was registered in this regard at Bandra police station. 2. Last year, Mumbai Police had detained the person who threatened to kill Salman by calling him. The person making the threat was a 16 year old minor. While threatening the Mumbai Police through a call, he told his name as Rocky Bhai. Said that he is a resident of Jodhpur, Rajasthan and will kill Salman on 30th April. 3. Last year itself, Dhakadram, a resident of Jodhpur, had sent 3 e-mails to Salman's official mail. It was written in it that Salman Khan is your next number, you will be killed like Sidhu Moosewala as soon as you come to Jodhpur. 4. In January 2024, two unknown people tried to enter Salman Khan's farm house by breaking the fencing wire. When caught by the police, both of them declared themselves fans of Salman. Fake Aadhaar cards were recovered from them. For this reason FIR has also been registered against both of them. Salman Khan is the target of Lawrence Gang.

NIA has announced a reward of Rs 10 lakh on Anmol Bishnoi on October 25.
