Leaders Online Desk: A fire broke out in the sanctum sanctorum during Bhasma Aarti at the Mahakal temple in Madhya Pradesh today (Monday) morning. 14 devotees including priests were injured in this. Some are undergoing treatment in the district hospital and eight have been shifted to Indore for treatment. Meanwhile, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has announced an aid of Rs 1 lakh each and free treatment to the injured in this fire accident. The news in this context has been done by 'PTI'. Speaking to reporters in Bhopal, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav said that the silver walls of the sanctum sanctorum were covered with cloth to protect them from the colors of Holi. Devotees were throwing 'gulal' while the cremation was going on. Meanwhile, the fire broke out after the 'arti che taat' fell out of hand. It is not yet clear whether the 'Gulal' thrown on the Aarti wick caused the chemical reaction and started the fire. Meanwhile, the injured in this fire accident will be given an assistance of Rs.1 lakh each along with the best available treatment free of cost. The Chief Minister also said that the administration will do its best to prevent such an incident from happening again. (Fire in Mahakal Temple)

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has made a post on social media platform X. In it, he said, “The incident that took place in the Mahakal temple of Ujjain is very painful. I wish all the devotees injured in this incident a speedy recovery. Local administration is trying. All possible assistance is being provided to the victims under the supervision of the state government.” He also explained. (Fire in Mahakal Temple)
