Srinagar; News Agency: Be it Bollywood or Tollywood, Kashmir used to be a prime shooting location in the 1980s. Later terrorism flourished and all this backfired. Now, after the central government deleted Article 370, those days are back.
In the valley of Kashmir, the sounds of 'Action, Camera, Cut' are being chanted happily again. In the last three years, a record 700 applications have been received for shooting films and web series in Kashmir. 375 of them have started shooting. The rest will start soon.

In 2022, 127 applications were received. The shooting of 100 films was completed.
In 2023, more than 350 applications were received and only 105 films could actually get off the ground.
The number of applications received in 2024 is 7 times more than in 2022.
