Extreme Heat: 43 people died due to heatstroke in the country; 20 in Bihar and 10 in Odisha









Leaders Online: Due to rising heat and heat wave in the country, people have died in many states. So far 43 people have died due to extreme heat in the country. 20 people have lost their lives due to heat in Bihar. Also, 10 people have died due to heat in Odisha.

Temperatures in many parts of Bihar (Thursday) touched above 44 degrees Celsius. 20 people in the state died due to this. According to the health department of Aurangabad, 12 people have died and more than 20 have been admitted to different hospitals due to the heat wave. Apart from this, 5 people have died in Palamu district of Jharkhand in the last 24 hours. Also many people have lost their lives in Odisha too.

How many deaths due to heat in which state?

Entire North India including Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha is experiencing severe heat wave. In many parts of Bihar, the temperature has crossed 44 degree Celsius. Palamu district recorded a temperature of 47.4 degrees Celsius on Thursday. Palamu temperature has been recorded at 47 degrees for the last three days. 10 people died due to heat in Odisha's Rourkela on Thursday.
