Excluding Kejriwal's bail plea, judicial custody extended till June 19









New Delhi; Leading News Service: The Rouse Avenue Court on Wednesday (5th) dismissed the plea filed by Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal seeking extension of interim bail in the Delhi liquor policy malpractice case. The court also ordered to extend Kejriwal's judicial custody till June 19.

Kejriwal was granted interim bail by the Supreme Court to campaign for the Lok Sabha elections. Kejriwal surrendered on June 2 as soon as his term expired. After that, Kejriwal demanded an extension of 7 days in the interim bail on medical grounds. However, the Supreme Court rejected this petition. Now the Rouse Avenue court also refused to grant him bail.

This petition was also dismissed by the Rouse Avenue Court. ED had demanded to increase the judicial custody of Arvind Kejriwal in this case. The court also extended the custody till June 19. The court has also directed the concerned authorities to conduct necessary medical tests on them. The court will hear Arvind Kejriwal's application for default bail in the case on June 7.
