Exciting win for Delhi Capitals | leader

New Delhi; News Agency: Rishabh Pant's 88-run knock and Axar Patel's 66-run knock helped Delhi Capitals beat Gujarat Titans at home. However, they had to wait till the last over for this. After being invited to bat first, Delhi posted a mountain of 224 for 4 in the allotted 20 overs, while in reply Gujarat Titans managed to reach 220 for 8 in 20 overs.

Sai Sudarshan (65 off 39 balls) and David Miller (55 off 23 balls) scored brilliant half-centuries for Gujarat when they faced a tough challenge of 225 runs for victory. Opener Saha scored 39 runs. Rashid Khan (21 off 11 balls) and Sai Kishore (13 off 6 balls) batted hard in the bottom order; But then this match was out of their hands. For Delhi, Rasikh Salam took 3 wickets for 44 runs, while Kuldeep Yadav took 2 wickets for 29 runs. Earlier, Pant kept up the power hitting spree by taking care of almost every Gujarat Titans bowler, in fact, Delhi got off to a poor start as they lost 3 leading batsmen before the power-play overs. However, Pant took all the rules of the game and changed the whole mood of this match. Pant and Tristian Stubbs (26 not out) washed away the Gujarat Titans bowlers in the last few overs.

Gujarat skipper Shubman Gill elected to bat first after winning the toss, and Prithvi Shaw 11, Jake Fraser McGurk 23 and Shai Hope 5 were dismissed cheaply to take them to 44 for 3 in 5.4 overs. However, Akshar Patel, who came in to bat at number three, removed the pressure with a brilliant batting performance, while Rishabh Pant took full advantage of this momentum and consistently dominated the Gujarat bowlers. Akshar Patel and Rishabh Pant made a century partnership of 113 runs for the fourth wicket and contributed to Delhi's double century score. Capitals had lost by 67 runs against Sunrisers Hyderabad in their previous match after two consecutive wins. Against that backdrop, getting back on the winning track in this match was especially important for them.

Rashid struggled; But…

Needing 19 runs to win in the last over, Rashid Khan hit two fours off the first two balls and a brilliant six to long-off on the fifth ball. However, he could not score a single run in the next three balls and Gujarat were disappointed in this final phase.
