Leader Online Desk: Southern Actor-politician Pawan Kalyan's Janata Sena Party has won 21 assembly seats in Andhra Pradesh. The Janata Sena Party (JSP) contested the elections in alliance with the Telugu Desam Party and the Bharatiya Janata Party.
Janata Seva Party chief and southern superstar Pawan Kalyan has won the Andhra Pradesh assembly elections from Pithapuram constituency in Kakinada district by a margin of 1,34,394 votes. He has defeated VSRCP candidate Vanga Geeta Vishwanath by a huge margin. Pithapuram is known as a constituency dominated by the Kapu community. Film to politics
JSP chief Pawan Kalyan started his career in Telugu film Akkada Ammai Ikkada Abbai in 1996. In 2003, he made his debut as a director with the film Johnny. Pawan Kalyan entered politics in 2014. Pawan is the younger brother of South superstar Chiranjeevi and uncle of South actor Ram Charan. On May 13, Andhra Pradesh went to the polls for the Assembly and Lok Sabha elections simultaneously. Out of 175 assembly constituencies in the state, Telugu Desam Party won 144 seats. Janata Sena Party had contested on 21 seats and BJP on 10 seats
