Mumbai Police has summoned Ekta Kapoor and her mother Shobha Kapoor for questioning in the POCSO case. The police have directed him to appear on Thursday, October 24. Two days ago, a case was registered against Ekta and her mother Shobha Kapoor under the POCSO Act in Mumbai. This case is related to season 6 of the web series 'Gandii Baat' of OTT platform 'Alt Balaji'.

Ekta and her mother are accused of filming objectionable scenes of minor girls in this web series. However, this controversial episode is not currently streaming on this app. Now a statement has also come from Ekta's production company regarding this matter.

Alt Digital Media Entertainment Limited issued a clarification saying, 'The production company also follows all the laws, like POCSO Act, during the shooting. Whatever information has come out in the case of minors is wrong.

The company further said, 'Shobha Kapoor and Ekta Kapoor are not present on the set every day. In his absence, some teams have been formed, which handle all the work. However, the matter is before the court and the company has full faith in the judiciary. We will cooperate with the investigating agency.

Know what is the whole matter? A case was registered against producer Ekta Kapoor and her mother Shobha Kapoor under the POCSO Act in Mumbai three days ago. Ekta and her mother are accused of filming objectionable scenes of minor girls in this web series. However, this controversial episode has been removed from the app.

A person from Mumbai lodged an FIR, also accused of insulting great men and saints. A local citizen lodged this complaint at MHB police station in Borivali, Mumbai. The complainant had alleged that in an episode of the series, some scenes were shown violating the rules of the POCSO Act.

Along with this, great men and saints were insulted using cigarette advertisements in the web series. Due to this, the sentiments of the complainant were also hurt. In this way, apart from the POCSO Act, laws like IT Act 2000, Women Prohibition Act 1986 and Cigarettes-Other Tobacco Products Act 2003 have been violated in the series.
