New Delhi; Leaders Online Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is in Tihar Jail in a money laundering case related to the Delhi Liquor Policy. They looked very uncomfortable in the 14 feet long and 8 feet wide barracks. They didn't even watch much TV the first night. He was seen sitting on a chair in the barracks thinking for a long time. They were served tea and breakfast in the morning.
Chief Minister Kejriwal spent his first night in Jail No. 2 of Tihar unwell. It is being told that Kejriwal had a home-cooked meal on the first night of April 1 in Tihar Jail. He stayed up late into the night and appeared to be unwell throughout the night. Iron grills of Kejriwal's barracks were fitted with mosquito nets, preventing mosquitoes from bothering him. This is the first time in the country's history that a sitting Chief Minister has to go to jail. The Tihar Jail in which Kejriwal is lodged comes under the jurisdiction of the Delhi government.
Kejriwal woke up early today. They were served breakfast and tea at 6:40 am. Kejriwal meditated and practiced yoga in his barrack for half an hour in the morning. After lunch they have to go back to their barracks at 12 o'clock. Have to stay there till 3 pm. Considering that he is diabetic, Kejriwal has asked him to provide sugar sensor and glucometer, Isabgol and Jail Superintendent to give him toffee in case of sudden drop in sugar.
