New York: Former US president and Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump has been indicted in a criminal case known as 'hush money'. This is the first time in US history that a former president has been convicted in such a criminal case. Judge Yuvan Marchan will pronounce the sentence on July 11 in this case.

This decision to convict Trump was given unanimously by 12 jurors in the New York Supreme Court and Trump was found guilty of all 34 criminal charges. With this historic decision, the upcoming presidential election is expected to take a different political turn. Speaking after the verdict, Trump has reacted that he has been implicated in this case with political revenge and his real judgment will be in the people's court in the election to be held on November 5.

Trump could be sentenced to 16 months to three years in prison or sent to a correctional facility on probation. Given Trump's age (77) and the fact that he has not been charged with such crimes in the past, legal experts believe that he will not be sentenced to prison.
