Rahul Dholakia, who has directed Shahrukh Khan in the film 'Raees', has directed the film 'Agni' on firefighters. Through this film, light has been thrown on the lives of fire fighters, who save the lives of others without caring for their own lives.
Recently, Pratik Gandhi, Divyendu Sharma, Saiyami Kher and director Rahul Dholakia talked to Dainik Bhaskar about this film. The film will stream on OTT platform Amazon Prime Video on December 6.
During the conversation, Divyendu Sharma said that film stars, cricketers and politicians are not our heroes. Prateek Gandhi told that the fireman had died due to electric shock while saving a bird. They are our real heroes.

Question- Before the film 'Agni', you had directed 'Raees' with Shahrukh. Why did it take so long to make this film?
answer- It takes time to make anything good. This film is coming after seven years of 'Raees'. It took me a lot of time to research before making a film on this subject. After shooting the film, a lot of time was also spent on VFX. Anyway, if you see my filmography, each of my films has taken time. After 'Kehta Hai Dil Baar Baar', 'Parzania', 'Lamha' and 'Raees', now 'Agni' is coming.
Question- How did the idea of making a film on 'Fire Fighters' come about?
answer- When we go to America or any other country, we see that firefighters are given a lot of respect there. Their statues are made there. Inspired by his bravery and work, people want to be like him. This is not the case with us. The idea of making a film on this subject came to me from there. Many films have been made on firefighters in Hollywood, but none have been made in Bollywood.
In our films, only the hero comes to extinguish the fire. We are throwing light on the lives of fire fighters through this film. Who are our real heroes.
Question- Prateek, the audience has already seen the deep friendship between you and Divyendu in the film 'Madgaon Express'. What kind of chemistry was there between you two during the shooting of 'Agni'?
answer- We had already shot 'Agni' before 'Madgaon Express'. Our first meeting was on the sets of the film 'Agni'. Our friendship and enmity started from that film. The audience saw our friendship in 'Madgaon Express'. Both friendship and enmity will be seen in 'Agni'.
Question- When you were approached for 'Agni', what was your reaction to this film and character?
answer- I was very excited. We see firefighters every day. It is surprising that people do not talk about them. Fire fighters are a force which is not given that much credit. Which they deserve. I am playing the role of a firefighter in it. It took me a long time to understand the mentality of this character. The story of fire fighters is full of heroism.
We have tried to show the same in this film. When we showed this film to the fire fighters of Delhi and Mumbai, they thanked us and said that this is what happens. For me, the real heroes are the firefighters.
Question- Divyendu, who do you consider your hero in real life?
answer- Scientists and firefighters are real heroes for me. I think we talk very little about scientists. We don't even know how big discoveries have been made in the world of science? We talk only about film stars, cricketers and politicians. They are considered heroes, but no one talks about scientists and firefighters.
Question- Saiyami, you are playing the role of a female firefighter in this film. How much did you know about firefighters before this film?
answer- It is a matter of great shame for me that I did not know that females also join the fire fighters. When Rahul Dholakia ji gave me the script of the film, then I came to know about female firefighters. His life is full of sacrifices made every day. This film salutes his loyalty, courage and sacrifice.
Question- Pratik, did you meet any real character before shooting?
answer- I have met many people. Fire fighters are not just there to put out fires. They are also called for many different jobs. Recently met the family of a firefighter. He told that a call had been received for a bird which was trapped somewhere. There were high-voltage electric wires above where the bird was trapped.
The fireman died due to electric shock while saving the bird. The aim of a fireman is only to save life. No matter who's life it is, a normal person cannot think like this. For me, firemen are superheroes.
