Divyendu Sharma will no longer be seen in the role of everyone's favorite Munna Bhaiya in the famous web series Mirzapur 3. Divyendu himself has revealed this in a recent interview. He said that he will not be seen in the third season. He says that now he feels suffocated in this character.
In 2023, Divyendu was seen in the series Railway Man.
Divyendu said- I am not a part of season 3
In an interview given to Humans of Bombay, Divyendu said- I announce that I am not a part of Mirzapur Season 3.
This statement of Divyendu proves that the character of Munna Bhaiya was actually killed in the finale of Season 2. Despite this, fans were hopeful that he would definitely make a strong comeback in season 3. But Divyendu himself has put an end to these reports.
Divyendu had earlier auditioned for the role of Bablu.
Describing the character of Munna Bhaiya, Divyendu said – For me, the character of Munna was undoubtedly a disturbing character. Although I knew from the beginning that it was a powerful role. But I first auditioned for the role of Bablu. But after some time I realized that I was more suitable for the role of Munna.
Pankaj Tripathi played the role of Divyendu's father in the series.
'Now this character feels suffocating'
He further said- When I was in this character, it had a lot of impact on my personality. We should not go too deep into any character because it is not very easy. Sometimes playing this role was really dark for me. I started feeling suffocated in this.
Divyendu said that when you come out of such a character, then you come to know what kind of darkness you were really in.
This series has been directed by Karan Anshuman.
The first season of Mirzapur was streamed on Amazon Prime Video on 16 November 2018. Artists like Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal, Kulbhushan Kharbanda, Divyendu Sharma, Vikrant Massey, Rasika Duggal, Shweta Tripathi and Vijay Verma were seen in it. Whereas, the second season was streamed on 23 October 2022. Now its third season will be released this year. At present the makers have not announced its release date.
